"Aurora Borealis" is a motion project that began with a 300-word narrative. The story is exaggerated non-fiction based on my own personal memory.
Off-kilter, handdrawn typography introduces different sections of the narrative, coupled with keywords set in clean sans-serif for a sense of balance. My own photographs taken around the time the story takes place are incorporated to reference the personal aspect of the project. The photos are often blurry and unfocused, referencing that the project is based upon fleeting memories. Imagery, typography, and pacing are used create an for the viewer that is personal and emotional.
